Restrict the usage of punctuation variables
I was looking for a module that complains about using $|
for activating autoflush. I found https://metacpan.org/pod/Perl::Critic::Policy::Variables::ProhibitPunctuationVars which is even better, as it checks all cryptic special variables.
I suggest to activate this policy with a generous list of exceptions.
